1997 Treasure Hunts Series
Released in 1995, the Treasure Hunts Series featured 12 models a year, with one released each month. The miniatures came with a special spectraflame paint and rubber tires.
These are the Treasure Hunts from 1997:
- ’56 Flashsider – Metallic teal with orange and magenta pinstripe design on hood, orange Hot Wheels logo on tailgate. Tinted chrome windows with no interior. Chrome wheels.
- Silhouette II – Pearl white with red Hot Wheels logo on rear. Tinted blue windows with white interior. White wheels.
- Mercedes-Benz SL – Black with ‘SL 500’ on sides. Clear windows with white interior. Chrome wheels.
- Street Cleaver – Black with gold and red design on sides. No windows and metallic gold interior. Chrome wheels.
- GM Lean Machine – Chrome and metalflake dark red. Black stripes with ‘HTW 37’ and a black Hot Wheels logo on sides. Tinted chrome windows with no interior. Chrome wheels.
- Hot Rod Wagon – Yellow with black interior and yellow wheels.
- Oldsmobile Aurora – Purple with a grey line and ‘Aurora’ on sides. Clear windows with grey interior. Chrome wheels.
- Dogfighter – Metallic green with gold and black tampos on side: ’32’. No windows and gold chrome interior. Chrome wheels.
- Buick Wildcat – Silver with red stripes on top and white Hot Wheels logo. Tinted black windows and chrome interior. Chrome wheels.
- Blimp – Silver with red, yellow and white Hot Wheels logo.
- Avus Quattro – Metalflake gold with ‘Avus’ and red Hot Wheels logo on sides. Tinted windows with white interior. Chorme wheels.
- Rail Rodder – Pearl white with red and orange flames. Red Hot Wheels logo on sides. No windows, white interior. Chrome wheels.
The Treasure Hunts Series started in 1995. There were several changes until we reached the current series, divided between the Treasure Hunts and Super Treasure Hunts.
